It is directed by musician and puppeteer Liam Lynch. All three of them are also listed as the writers of the film. The film was released on November 22, 2006. One word to describe this film? Funny. I will admit, you can tell how this movie did not do to well in the box office. I do not see how this movie does not get the credit it deserves, even though they drop the F-bomb about 100+ times, but I still find this movie funny. I am not the only one who likes this movie, I know that for a fact.

This is basically what happens, The movie first takes place in Kickapoo, Missouri. Jack Black is a kid (Maybe about ten years old?) with a super religious family. He writes a song using strong words and his father, played by Meat Loaf, goes all out on him and slaps him silly. Jack Black then prays to his Ronnie James Dio poster for help, then Dio comes alive and gives JB advice. Dio tells him to go to Hollywood and form the greatest band of all time. JB listens to what Dio tells him, and he travels to Hollywood.

He arrives in Hollywood, California where he spots a man playing guitar on the beach, with a cup in front of him, accepting money. The man is finished playing the song, and then he starts a new one, but JB is driving away his crowd. They then bust out into a song they call "Classico" and they totally rock it. A pizza man then asks "Who are you?". The man then tells him that they call him KG Solo Man 5000, and he tends to keep it that way. He flicks the guitar pick at JB, and he keeps it.

I'm just going to Leave it at that and let you see it for yourself.

KG (left) trains JB in the ways of rock.

So this movie is my favorite. I love this movie because it's funny, awesome, and it's full of rock music, which is very awesome!

I recommend this movie if you are mature enough for the R rating and sexual language/images.

NHL Hitz 20-02 (Review)

NHL HITZ 20-02
(Review by Aaron Gentry [PunkAaron])

NHL Hitz 20–02, also known as NHL Hitz 2002, is an arcade-style ice hockey video game released by Midway Games. Midway launched this game along with NFL Blitz. The game was a launch title for the Nintendo Gamecube and was also released on Xbox and PlayStation 2. It differs from traditional NHL games in that it does not try to accurately simulate real-life ice hockey. The rules are much more relaxed and the attributes of players dramatically increased, giving the game its "arcade-y" feel.

- Wikipedia

If I could describe this game using one word, I would say that this game is entertaining. NHL Hitz is a different type of hockey game compared to the hockey games released by EA Games. I'm gonna start with what is unrealistic about this game.

The Unrealistic Side:

Here's a start on things, referee's don't call penalties. Penalties are to be used to keep the game align and in order. This is not anything near what would happen in real NHL hockey.

Fights in this game are fun, because it takes on a two-player arcade, Mortal Kombat style approach. Fights aren't realistic, because instead of both players being sent to a penalty box, the losing player just gets sent to the bench, so there are no power plays in this game.

Another thing is when a hat trick is achieved, the freaking player gets struck by lightning and he is set on fire. instead of dying like he would in the real world, he appears to get stronger, and his shots turn a fireball.

One more thing is that each side only has three players on the rink at a time. This helps because the rink is smaller than the average NHL rink size. Oddly, making this game unrealistic just makes it even funner.

Why this game is fun:

Don't you just wish that real hockey games could have players skating around on fire? Wouldn't you love to see more action in an NHL match? How cool would it be to see the Detroit Red Wings take on the Boston Bruins in a hockey match ON THE MOON!?

Final Look:

Graphics (for its time): 4 (It's okay...)

Audio: 5 (HUGE variety, from Hard Rock to Rap.)

Gameplay: 4 (Get's pretty hard, which is fun, when you're not being slaughtered, 19 to 0.)

Story: 2 (I don't like season modes for sports games...)

Thanks for reading!

Intro, I guess?

Hey, my name is Aaron Gentry, and I'm bored. Seriously, I have nothing else to do at the moment, so I felt right making a blog. I pretty much copied people, and said "I want to review things". This blog will be used to review Movies, Video Games, Music, Sports matches, TV Shows, food, etc. I will pretty much review random stuff, and hopefully with the help from some friends.
